Scored locations
A scored location is a location that is enriched with data, allowing us to give it a score between 0 and 100. You can use a gauge to select the score value, with 0 being the top 100% of your scored locations, 80% being the top 20% performing locations, and 100% being the top of your locations.
For example, let's say you have a scored location for "the best buyers of Purina cat food". Depending on how you specify your scored locations, if you set the gauge to 80, you will select the top 20% of locations where people buy Purina cat food, and the frames around those locations will be adjusted accordingly. These locations could be malls, cities, or regions - it's up to you to decide.
You can search for scored locations using the search engine located on the left side of the segment builder. This search function is similar to other filters and allows you to search by description and data provider.
When you search for a scored location, it will appear in the results under both the 'All filters' category and a new 'Scored locations' category. For each 'Scored locations' result, you can view the name, category, and provider information. For example, 'Top Malls Older' - Retail - Carrefour. You will also see the logo of the provider.
Note that you cannot view scored locations that belong to other media owners. Information on frames and weekly impressions is not available for scored locations in search results (unlike locations).
You can click the (+) button in the search results to add the scored location to your targeting. The criteria will be added to the right side of the page under a new 'Scored locations' criteria category. The usual filter adding behavior applies, such as updating results, updating the map, etc. You can also remove the filter using the (x) button.
A gauge is available next to your filter which allows you to select the desired score interval. The gauge range depends on the score that is available for the segment (it could be from 1 to 10 or 50 to 1000). The gauge is normalized to a common scale, meaning the further you go to the right, the fewer frames you will have.
By default, the gauge is positioned to make a relevant selection for the selected scored location, at 50%. When you move the cursor on the gauge, the targeting results will be updated.
When you add multiple scored locations to your targeting, the selected frames will be the union (OR) of the different scored locations selected. For example, if you select several scored locations in your targeting, the number of selected frames should increase. You can adjust a gauge for each scored location you add.
The scored locations will behave as an 'AND' (intersection) with other criteria (except for the included Frames targeting which is always an 'OR'). For example, if you have selected 'Paris' (city) and 'Top Malls Yaourts' as targeting criteria, you will only have results for frames in Paris and matching the selected target.
